The Ground Beneath
Genre: Metal rock
www.thegroundbeneath.com It's a tremor. It's an earthquake. No, it's the Ground Beneath! This super trio rumbles the earth with rolling drums and sweeping guitars, emerging from ... uh ... beneath adversaries to devour them whole like those crazy sandworms in that one movie.

This Week's Music

Music to Your Ears
By Laura Marrich

A Very Metal Homecoming— The Ground Beneath's first trip outside of New Mexico looks like a thrashing success. Since kicking off their “Southern TWOur” in late July, Steve, Mykey and Roman have shredded across Texas and Louisiana, playing venues like Stubbs BBQ in Austin, drinking heavily with KG from Tenacious D and making a pilgrimage to the grave of former Pantera/Damageplan guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott in Arlington. Welcome the guys from The Ground Beneath back home at a free, all-ages show next Saturday, Aug. 19th, at The Zone (SW corner of San Mateo and Menaul) around 4 p.m. Also, don't miss the hilarious photos from their tour at www.thegroundbeneath.com.

TWOur over - August 13, 2006

And now its time for some homecoming shows! I just woke up in my own room at The House Beneath and it feels pretty nice I must say ...anyway we made it home alive and I'll post pics from the last week soon -- S

Southern TWOur Update #3 - August 5, 2006

Hey everyone! We had one of the best shows of our lives in Bay City last night and we are about ready for our show here in Shreveport, Louisiana, tonight. Everyone is fine and we are looking forward to getting home a week from tomorrow. -- S

Southern TWOur Update #2 - August 3, 2006

Hey everyone we are livin it up in Austin, TX, and we had a great show last night. We played on the second story patio of a three story club that only had a roof over part of it. Since we've last posted we have visited Dimebag's grave in Arlington (pics already posted in the photo section), had the time of our lives at Vinnie Paul's CLUBHOUSE in Dallas and jammed and partied w/KG from Tenacious D (pics on the way). Everything is still going really good and we head to our Houston show in Bay City tomorrow morning. -- S

Southern TWOur - July 30, 2006

So we tore it up tonight in Dallas, TX with some really great bands from Louisiana and some local brothers as well. The stage we played was the first place Pantera ever jammed w/David Allan Coe and Pantera also played a secret show there the last summer that they were together. Things are going really really well out here and we are having the time of our lives. We really needed a break from New Mexico but we miss you all very much as well. Pix and video on the way. -- S
